Does God get angry and disappointed with me when I keep messing up?

Christ is calling us, and this is what's so interesting, he doesn't do any of it by force. He didn't force the Pharisees to believe. He didn't force the Pharisees to worship him. He wasn't mad or angry or upset. He didn't insult them. He didn't belittle them. He didn't react. He just let them be. So many times people think that God is going to have this emotional reaction towards our disobedience or towards our bad behavior, as if God is kind of an unpredictable or emotional parent. And this is not how God is at all. God is the same yesterday and today and forever. Why? Because he's God. In and of himself, he's God. He's self-referential. He does not refer to us, he does not need us, he does not rely on us. It doesn't mean that he doesn't love us. He loves us tremendously. But that love is not overshadowed by his need to control us. We meet people in our life and we want to control them, and we want to figure out how we need to speak to them, and the words that we need to say to them, and the way in which we should approach them to get them to believe. And yet what do we see with Christ? He performs this miracle in front of them, they don't believe, and he is okay with that.
