This isn't another online Bible study or “Orthobro” chat room. The guys in here are real. Nobody comes in to screw around or make jokes. Yes, we have a good time, but the vast majority of guys are here because they want real community and practical help with their actual lives. It's a place where you can get on a Q&A with Fr. Moses, bring whatever you're working through, and know the guys will back you up.
The marriage course was huge for me. I've heard people at my local parish say, “oh, I don't listen to Fr. Moses because he's too hyper-masculine.” Nothing could be further from the truth. Yes, Fr. Moses is masculine, but in a Godly sense, not a worldly one. The marriage course is not manosphere BS about making your woman serve your every whim. The opposite. Fr. Moses teaches that our job as the husband and head of a Christian marriage is to die to yourself, take up your cross, and follow Jesus. In a marriage, that means serving your wife and kids beyond what you feel like doing or think you're capable of.
He also teaches that if your wife is doing something you don't like, your job is not to have a “sit down” and straighten her out. His advice comes straight from the New Testament: your job is not to be served, but to serve, and to become obedient, even to death on a cross. That applies in marriage.
This community and these courses have made me a better man, a better husband, a better servant, less selfish, more humble, and a better Christian overall. Praise God.
