Why does modern life feel so meaningless?

It is a culture today of absolute existential absurdity, where the culture is decaying and degrading itself by all kinds of strange pleasure seeking endeavors that lead to nothing but meaninglessness. And for us as Orthodox Christians, we have none of that. We have to wipe the vocabulary in our mind of despair out. There is no room for despair, because it undercuts the providence of God. What does that mean? It means the hope is always in Christ.
