Can I become Orthodox if I still have doubts?

We have to understand that there are three phases within the church. There's inquirers. That's like dating. You're coming and looking and seeing, is this a good fit for me? Then there's catechumen, which is the process of basically being enrolled in the rank of the catechumens who are preparing for baptism. That's kind of like engagement. And then there's baptism, which is the actual kind of wedding yourself into the body of Christ and becoming a full member. It depends on what those doubts are. And the reality is a catechumenate is usually a minimum of one year. So if after a year you still have doubts, or you still need time, or you're still figuring things out, it's totally fine to take more time and to just be within the life of the church and pray and ask God for help with the doubts. Seek answers. God did not put down Thomas for his unbelief, for his doubting. He actually showed Thomas. So it is fine to ask God to show you the answers that you're looking for and take the necessary time. God respects us and he works with us.
