Do Orthodox Christians worship Mary?
We share as Christians one commonality that is very profound, and that is the Mother of God is the mother of all Christians. This unites us together. This unites us to Christ. But this also unites us to our most pure mother. This is why we have such deep love, reverence and affection for her. We do not worship the Mother of God. That would be an error. We only worship God. But we love, we reverence, and we adore the Mother of God, because she has shown herself over and over again to be our helper. She has been active in the life of Orthodox Christians. And I would say even in particular, she's been incredibly active in the life of our parish in numerous ways, bringing help and what we would call in the worldly sense salvation.
