Why do people who have everything still end up with nothing?

This is truly to be contrasted with the absolute poverty of modern man. Modern man has everything and yet has nothing. They're depressed and yet always despairing. They are rich and have everything and yet have nothing. And they have all these possessions, and yet they don't possess the one thing needful, which is Jesus Christ. Brothers and sisters, so often we come and we see the holy icon, or we come to church, and we have a sense that there's something missing in our soul, there's something missing in our life. And this thing is the one thing needful, which is a deep experiential relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
