Some men who write to me know exactly what is wrong and cannot move it. Others only know that something is off. Either way, what is missing is a plan, and someone who will tell you the truth instead of being kind to you. That is the hour.

Confession, spiritual direction, or pastoral counsel. Those belong to a parish, they cost nothing, and they always will. If that is what you need, go and find a priest near you. Write to me and I will help you find one. What I will not do is sell it to you.
Who this is for.
A man who already knows what is wrong and has not been able to move it on his own. Or a man who cannot name it yet, only that his life is not going where it should be and has not been for a long time. Both are worth an hour.
