Can the devil force me to sin?

No — the devil can only make suggestions, he teaches. A demon can present a lustful thought or whisper in the ear, but that is merely the devil handing over the handcuffs; a person handcuffs himself when he entertains the thought, admires it, and starts planning how to bring it about. Human beings are free-willed, made in the image of God, and can only be shackled by themselves. He adds that the aftermath of interacting with demonic energy is always the same: agitation, anger, despair, pride — an unquiet soul.
