Will my kids keep the faith when they grow up?

I heard a quote from a priest this past week that was profound. He said something along the lines of, if we run, our children will walk. And I thought about that. He's like, if we stand, our children will sit. If we're sitting spiritually, our children will lay down. Whatever we do, our children will do less than us, essentially, is what he was saying. And so my spiritual father once said to me, the real test of our faith is not our children. The real test of our faith are our grandchildren. Does our faith persevere for more than one generation? Are we handing on something that bears fruit, real grace of the Holy Spirit? Are we handing on this faith to our generations?
