Will my husband change after we get married?
Life isn't a video game. You don't get to kind of play with the knobs and adjust the character. People are very much who they are in their personality. In fact, I think a lot of people hold out hope, and especially with women, we're going to get married and then he's going to overcome this deficiency in his character. He's going to be less interested in hanging out with his friends, or he's going to be less interested in relaxation. He's going to become more motivated later on, et cetera, et cetera. And the reality is that personalities are very much set. In fact, after 20 years of marriage, I actually think, like my wife and I, although our character has changed, meaning how we do things, the core fundamentals of how we are personality wise, they're very set. They're very set. Introverts don't become extroverts, and extroverts typically don't become introverts. There's a hard wiring that happens in your personality that doesn't really go away.
